Mommy: LOL...

Hey... its my milk milk !!!!

The kids have stopped taking formula milk for almost 3 weeks and they now got used to warm fresh milk in their bottles.

Yesterday we went to the Health shop for our vitamins. Its the same shop where we used to get the kids formula milk.

Lucas was in school so Lachlan was with us doing the shopping. He too took a basket himself browsing and started taking stuffs from shelves. AND i have to keep repeating to him 'we have that at home, we don't need that lachlan, please put those back'

Then, he came to the aisle selling formula milk and he saw his MILK tin.....

Lachlan: (immediately grabbed one tin) Hey... mommy look....its my milk milk.. We can buy this...because no more at home.... (happily taking one tin and placed inside his basket)

Mom: Lachlan, cannot. please put back to the shelf.

Lachlan: whhhhhyyyyy?? its my milk milk...

Mom: nooo....Lachlan, you are drinking fresh milk now. You are too old for the formula. You are big boy now !!

Lachlan: NOoooooo... i am still small boy... i want my milk milk (**very sad face)

Although Lachlan was very upset, he listened to Mr Boss and put back the tin to the shelf. AND very fast he got over it and happily continued shopping with us.


I really couldn't help laughing out loud initially when i saw his facial expression happily taking the tin from the shelf. How i wish i had a video to capture that moment/scene to show to Dayi.. haha

Marble Cake

Scenario: Lucas, Lachlan and Mommy Waiting for Mr. Boss in the car.

5 mins after Mr. Boss is gone

Lachlan: Mommy, where is Daddy? why daddy so looooggggg.....?

MOMMY is busy with her mobile phone settings so didn't respond

2 seconds later

Lachlan: Mommy....why daddy so looonggg..?

Mommy:...... (still not responding)

Lachlan: heeeellllloo..... anybody there? anybooodddyyyyy?

MOMMY heard that immediately turned around and looked at lachie

Lachlan smiling cheekily covering his mouth..

oh gosh..where did he learn that i wonder... from the cartoons he watched perhaps...

Mom, can you dry your hands.....

In the noon, Lachlan needed to pass motion and came to me. I was half way washing dishes and the hands not fully dry.

In the toilet, lachlan was removing his pants. Then he looked at my hands

Lachlan: mommy, let me touch your hands

Mommy: ok..why?

Then, Lachlan went to get the hand towel

Lachlan: mommy, dry your hands please...

haha... then i suddenly remembered why

Got once when i touched him he feel my hands very cold.... (as i helped him with sitting on the toilet bowl) and i told him because i was washing the dishes...

Funny boy... he still can remember.. haha....

White Bread again

Second Attempt @ bread

Bought this bread mix from supermarket. All i have to do is add water and yeast.
I hand kneaded the dough. I can use electric mixer but i didn't. In fact i quite enjoy the kneading part.

Lucas loves this bread. He said taste much better than the 'old' bread (We had wholemeal bread for breakfast, bought from supermarket)

Sponge Cake with Dark Choc & Blueberries

I was just testing out the Sponge Cake recipe from the book i bought earlier. Have to let the kids finish for me, so i add Dark Chocolate topping and Lachlan finishied the two pieces i gave him.

Lucas however ate all the blueberries but not the cake.

Lucas: mommy, the cake is not nice

Mommy: oh.. why how come?

Lucas: I dont like the chocolate part.

Two kids, two different likings...

Next time.. how?.. maybe half choc topping half plain...

Mommy, did you bring Milk up?

Last Wednesday, both kids have their first check up by the council nurse at their school. well, sort of expected what the nurse going to ask me:

"Why are they still on Formula milk?"

In the end:

Nurse: They are having too much milk. Need to cut down. Try to feed them by cup, no more bottled feed as its not good for their teeth.

SO the following night, decided not to bring any milk bottles up to the room. I told the boys this after they had their milk downstairs before we go to the bedroom.

Mommy: Boys, no more milk after brushing your teeth!!

Boys: Okaay....

@ IN the bedroom

The Light in the room is off

Lachlan still haven't slept yet. He then turned to me and asked

Lachlan: Mommy.. did you bring milk milk up?

Mommy: no, i've said no more milk milk after brushing your teeth.

Lachlan: can i have water?

Mommy: okay, your water bottle is on the table. go get it yourself

Lachlan: i cannot see.. can you get it for me?

Mommy: come on, Lachlan, you can do it. Mommy can see so You can see too.

5 mins later

Lachlan still lying on the bed.

Lucas then said he is thirsty and so he get up and on the table lamp.

Lachlan immediately followed.

Lachlan having trouble flipping the lid and Lucas such as sweet boy helping his brother.

Then.. both came back to the bed and lachlan off the table lamp

10 minutes later

Lachlan get up and lean closer to his brother

Lachlan: goh goh.... are you thirsty?

Mommy: hahaha......

Lucas: no...

Then, Lachlan kept quiet and went back to sleep.

Mommy: lachlan, you thirsty again? ok.. mommy on the light for you.

Lachlan happily get up and go for his water bottle...

Cheesy Macaroni

Ingredients

Macaroni
Minced Beef
Green Capsicums
Mushrooms
Cream Sauce
Mozzarella cheese

Cheesy Mushroom & beef on Rice

Bought a can of Mushroom soup and try if the kids like to drink. Instead Lucas prefers the mushroom (as i add mushrooms) than the soup. So what do i do with the soup...

well, lets have cheesy mushroom sauce with minced beef on Rice and Lucas loves it.

Ingredients

Minced beef (marinated with korean Soy sauce)
Mushroom
Green Capsicum
Yellow Capsicum
Mushroom soup
Mozzarella Cheese

1. Marinade beef with Korean Soy Sauce
2. Cook the minced beef and in wok or pan
3. Place beef, capsicums and mushroom in baking dish and cover with Mushroom soup
4. Sprinkle with Mozzarella Cheese and bake @180 degree for 10-15mins.
5. Serve with rice.

Far Far away...

A little Chat in the car

Lachlan: why?.... why? the home so far far away...... *eagerly to reach home to drink his milk

Lucas: NOoooooo, home is not far far away.. The wedding** is far far away.....

**Wedding recently we attended was in Mt Dandenong, about 2 hours drive from home.

Lachlan: Hmmm...... *agreeing tone

Mobile Phone No battery.....

Recently when we often let the kids play the games on our mobile phone just to keep them sitting still or stop them making too much noise.

Sometimes we will not let them play so we said there is no battery on our phone.

One day, my boy gave us a suggesion

Lucas: mommy, You can buy us this game *Pointing at the Nintendo DS advertisement on TV

Mommy: why do you need that?

Lucas: so that we can play this and so your mobile phone won't be out of battery.

Momm: ..........

Lachie's Day at Childcare without Lucas

@ The Morning

Today only Lachlan will be going to Childcare as Lucas is having cough so wanting him to rest at home so i can feed him the Chinese medicine and warm fluid.

I was initially worried if Lachlan will cry. Lucas told Lachlan in the morning that he will be staying home with mommy and lachlan took it quite well, no complaining or crying.

We brought lachlan to his room and he saw Amy standing there. Lachlan showed her the book he brought about Animals. Then we hug and said good bye. We went out the room and waved a second goodbye near the window. Lachlan was waving but i can see that there is tears in his eyes. As he turned away, i saw him rubbing away his tears while looking for something to play in the room.

@ The Noon

When we reached the chilcare, the kids including Lachie were sitting down having their afternoon tea. They were having some bread but Lachie was eating his favourite, biscuits and milk. He didnt notice we were in the room until one of his friends told him.

Lachlan: mommy, i want to finish the biscuit first. can you wait for me?

Mom: yes, i will wait for you.

Lucas sat down playing with some toys and i just standing next to him.

Then, I heard teachers laughing. I looked up and saw Lachlan was busy stuffing all the biscuits into his mouth at once.

Teacher Amy: Lachie, slow down. *chuckling

Another teacher, Rachel, was sitting next to him asking him to slow down too.

This little boy, even trying to say something, exposing all the biscuits in his mouth and some little pieces even falling out. He immediately cover the mouth trying to save all the biscuits. Then, he slowly take his time chewing and swallowing all.

All of us laugh at the scene, at how cute this little boy's expression is.

Lachlan put away his plate and emptied milk cup on the trolley tray after he finished. He then came to me telling me he wants more biscuits. I told him to tell his teacher.

So,

Lachlan: Amy, i want more biscuits please.

Amy then place more biscuits on the center plate on kids table.

Lachlan immediately sat down but realised he has no plate. haha

He then walked back to the trolley and get his old plate back.

I was really touched to see him sitting down and taking the biscuits using thong. Doing it all by himself.

@ The Goodbye

When time to say goodbye. Lachlan said goodbye to Rachel in the room. When he didnt see Amy, he said he wanna go outside to look for her and tell her goodbye. What a sweet little boy.

He went outside and saw another teacher standing a distance away.

Lachlan: hey, i want to say good bye.. what's her name? *Pointing at Kate

Mom: lachie, is that your teacher (as i thot she is the teacher from another room)

Amy: yes, lachlan, of course you know her, she is Kate

Lachlan: *Raise his voice* Good bye Kate *waving his hand

Lachlan then turned to Amy and cuddled her good bye.

It was a very lovely Wednesday for Lachie and all of us indeed.
