Had these photos taken in Lucas kindy as this toy is for sharing and not allowed to bring home. Lucas likes to build Fire Engine, Robot and Transformers (his own version) with this.
Pancake is often cooked in my household for kids brekkie as lachlan loves it as well. Sometimes i will make animal shapes so the kids will have fun eating the head of a bear or other shapes like crescent moon.
Finally i baked this banana bread !!! I have set out to bake this long long ago ever since i bought the cookbook 'Deceptively Delicious'. So, the verdict: hmm... not bad at all. Its a little bit sweet so next time i can cut down the sugar portion as my banana puree were pretty sweet. I didn't blend the banana puree just mashed them with fork. i guess that is good enough. I used Raw Sugar here as i don't brown sugar at home.
The orginal recipe: Deceptively Delicious
I modified the recipe a little :)
Ingredients
Cooking Spray 2 cups plain flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/3 teaspoon salt Pinch Cinnamon (optinonal) 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup Raw sugar (blended finely) ** next time i think i should try 1/4 cup 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup banana puree 2 large egg whites
* one more ingredient i didn't add -- 1/2 cup cauliflower puree
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius. Coat a mini loaf pan with cooking spray
In a bowl, mix the flours with baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside
In a large mixing bowl, mix the sugar and oil with a wooden spoon until well combined. Mix in the egg whites, banana purees, and vanilla. Add the Flour mixture and mix just until combined.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Roughlty 20-25 minds for mini loaf. Let cook on a rack for 5 mins, then turn the bread out of the pan to cool before servig.

BUT this time, i can see big chucks of yam in my rice :)

We were doing our usual shopping @ supermarket and stopped at the cake section. I was busy choosing things that i needed for baking the cake and Lachlan too busy choosing. He saw so many cakes pictures on the carton boxes and he chose a CHOC cake mix.
When we reached home, he keep telling me wanna open the box and eat his choc cake. haha... he thought inside the box is a slice of CHOC cake.
So made a promise to bake for him within these two days. waa laa.... here they are..
We enjoyed very much and have alot of fun as we baked the cake together. Kids jumping happily seeing the cakes rising in the oven

The ring he made last week but only manage to upload today.
The Necklace he made on 8th April and told me to wear it but it was a little bit too small :)

Method 1. Heat the oil in wok and Fry the whole shallots and garlic clove til brown. Remove and set aside 2. Add remaining oil. Heat up and fry ginger til fragrant. Then add chicken, curry and turmeric powder paste (mix with water), Potato and mushrooms. (note: Cook the potato beforehand) 3. Add the shallots and garlic clove 4. Add water and simmer til the sauce or gravy thickens. You may add some cornstarch to thicken the sauce if you wish.
