Lucas's Birthday Party

On 6th November, we had a party for Lucas. Initially i told him weeks ago that we are not going to have a birthday party this year and Lucas agreed. Then, one week before his actual birthday, he suddenly wanted a party.

Oh gosh.. how am i gonna arrange all the party invitations and booking etc. So no choice, i told him i let him choose 5 friends over and have a celebration at home. It was a very nice celebration. All the kids enjoyed themselves very much and so was Lucas.

We let the boys played Wii games, racing car track, legos and some special event like Lucky Draw and Yoyos game.

Then On 5th Nov (one day before the party) over the dinner table

Lucas: Mommy, some of my friends asked me when can they come to my party?

Mom and Dad in shock

Mom: what? how come your friends knew your birthday is coming

Lucas: Because the teacher will tell the boys whose birthday is coming and so they knew its mine.

Dad: then what did you say?

Lucas: I told them, can we talk about it later. (*wink*)

What an unexpected answer.. haha i thought Lucas will sure invite all his class mates whoever asked him.

Lachlan's view on Men and Ladies

Scene: in the bathroom

Lachlan was passing motion and i was squatting infront of him.


Lachlan: Mommy, why Girls dont have penis?

Mom: huh.. hmm yes only Boys have penis

Lachlan: only boys and men have penis?

Mom: yes lachlan

Lachlan: *Silence and Looking at me

Lachlan: hmm.. i think your penis is inside your tummy !!!

Mom: *speechless

Lucas First Tooth

Lucas was quite brave about loosing his first tooth. This tooth was from his front lower jaw.

He didnt even cry when the tooth came out by itself... well sort of with abit of lucas's help as he kept touching it when the tooth was already quite wobbly.

Biscuit

Lachlan always seem to do things that is so different from his brother. For example, even eating a biscuit...

Lachlan is holding his biscuit spread with cheese

Lachlan: Goh goh.. if you want me to eat, say YES and if you don't want me to eat, say NO

Lucas: IGNORE Him

Lachlan instead of munching the biscuit, he licked the cheese.

2 mins later Lachlan sitting next to Lucas on the couch

Lachlan: You want me to put this inside my mouth.. or outside

Lucas still not responding.

20 seconds later

Biscuit officially gone. Inside lachlan's tummy of course.

Speak OUT

Another funny conversation in the room last night @8.30pm

Lucas: LACHLANNN... speak it out

Lachlan: .........

Lucas: Lachlan... if you tell me the truth, i won't tell mommy. But if you lie to me, i will tell mommy.

Lachlan: (still no response)

Lucas: Ok lachlan, speak it out.... did you say stupid just now??

Fettuccine Beef Ragu

Ingredients

500g Scotch fillet
1 Carrot
half cup of Frozen Peas
1 chopped Onions
3 chopped Garlic cloves
1/2 cup of Red Wine
1 cup of Beef stock
salt & pepper
1 Chopped tomatoes

Lachlan is almost Four and a half years old and still not very clear in his speech especially words start with S or X or F... i didint know that not even V

Mommy: NO.. lachie, its VOLLL.... not BOHHH

Mommy: Try again, Lachie

Lachlaln: Mommy, i want Tom and Jerry NUMBER Two !

MOmmy was busy choosing the clothes for lucas as going for a bowling birthday party today.

Home made with Lee Kum Kee Char Siew Sauce

Next time shall try out own recipe which i tried once on pork ribs and really taste alike but i didint take any photos of that..

Braised Pork in Soy Sauce (Tau Yu Bak)

Ingredients
500 g Pork ribs (cut into pieces)
6-8 Beancurd puffs

Marinade:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1/4 tsp chinese five spice powder
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar or to taste


4 whole garlic pods with skin on
1 star anise
4 cm cinnamon stick
4 cloves
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
1 cup water


Method:
Season pork with marinade for several hours or over night
Heat a claypot or heavy based saucepan over a medium low heat
Put in marinated pork to brown
Add in whole garlic pods, cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves.
Pour in half amount of water and cook cover for 5 - 8 mins
Add in dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and salt to taste
Add remaining water, beancurd puffs and simmer until gravy is thick and meat is tender.
(Should the sauce be overly thick, add little more water)

Mom: NOooooo...

Lucas: Kai Ma is mommy's friend.

Lachlan: Nooo... last time you said kai ma is your mother?

Mom:.. oooh... lachie, did you just ask "Is kai ma our mother?"

Lachlan: yeahhh

haha.. my mistake, still cannot totally comprehend what my son said sometimes!!!
Mommy went over to hug lachlan as lachlan eyes were in tears..

Mommy: Oookay.... yes, i told you Kai Ma is like your mother too.. do you want kai ma to be your mother?

Lachlan: Yeah... (Nod his head and drying his tears) because i want that receptor same as goh goh...

Mommy: oooh icccc.. thats ok.. we will get that Receptor for you when we back to M'sia.. ok ;)

Lachlan: okay......



FOR KAI MA: remember the transformer toy you bought for lucas..haha Until today, he still remember that. By the way, we left that in m'sia as too many toys here.

Krispy Kreme Donut

On the way home, Lachlan kept asking us for Donut and so we bought him two (he asked for Choc iced and Straw Iced) for himself only. Back to the house, Lachlan only can finish one which is abit unusual as he normally can finish all. We guess, he still not fully recovered from his cold & flu or appetite grown smaller.


After picked up Lucas from school


Lachlan: Goh Goh (brother), i ate donuts just now


No response from Lucas


Lachlan: goh gohhhhh... i had chocolate donuttttt and you don't have....

Mr. Boss: Lachlan, why dont you give goh goh your strawberry iced donut

Lachlan shaked his head but eventually he nodded.

Mr Boss: Lucas, come and have a strawberry iced donut

Lucas: oh.. i dont want pink, i want a different one.

Mr. Boss: ok, next time will ask didi (younger brother) get a different flavoured one alright.

Lucas: Lachlan, i dont like pink, i want a green one

Lachlan: You dont like pink?... only greeennnn..? ok goh goh, i get green for you next time.


ahhh kids...... just now lachlan was reluctant about giving his donut away and now suddenly such a good brother.....

Bedtime Stories

As usual, when Mr. Boss is here the kids would ask for bedtime stories. Their bedtime stories mostly about the superheroes or their favourite characters in Ben 10 cartoon. Mr. Boss will usually tell them his make-up stories and the kids just love them all.

So.. the stories here

Mr. Boss: XLR 8 was running very fast and then suddenly, needs to go to toilet poo poo....

Lucas: *laughing out loud

(Only Kids will laugh at such silly stories !!!)

But not Lachie....

Lachlan: NOoooo.. XLR 8 cannot *nggg nggg (meaning: poo poo), XLR 8 has no butt.. only tail.....

Can i play your ipod now?

Scenario

Mr. Boss, Mom & Lachie were in the car entering the carpark

Lachlan: Mommy, can i play the ipod now?

Mom: No lachlan, the Ipod is at home.

FACT: the ipod was with Mr. Boss but mom didn't want lachlan to play.

BACK TO HOME

Lachlan: (smiling cheekily) daddy, can i play the ipod now.

Mr. Boss: oh.. the ipod is in the car

Lachlan: (* A LOUD protest) Arrrr...RRRR ARR armmmm..... Why just now in the car, mommy said the ipod at home. AND now in the home, you said Ipod is in the car ?????

Mr. Boss: **Laughing Out Loud

Mom: (Talking to Mr. Boss) Oh.. i didn't know that you left the Ipod in the car. ..haha....


It was so funny....
