First Cross Country Day for the boys

On 14th Tuesday, it was a cross country day for whole Junior School. We were there early to support our boys. At 2.30pm, it was Year 1 boys' turn. Both of us were waiting anxiously for Lucas. Almost all the boys have passed the finishing line and still haven't seen Lucas.

10 seconds later, I saw Lucas running slowly hands on his tummy. He was the last one in the race. We were cheering him and he were walking towards me, tears in his eyes. We told him to go on finish the race.

After the race, he told me his tummy hurts. Mr. Boss told him that he used the wrong tactic in running as he started running too fast in the beginning.

Lachlan told him :

"Its ok not to win. That is what the teacher says. We don't have to be number one in running.. "

Hopefully Lucas did better next year :)

As for Lachlan, he did not bad. Not the first but at least he tried and enjoyed the race.
